So my suggestion would be the following: that for a number of basic concepts/terms linked to money cashwiki imports the first couple of paragraphs from wikipedia articles on these topics and then leave them there to grow into unique entities over time. :: Hey, great to see you here & I love the story that you linked from your profile! I think your suggestion is very good - not to copy the whole article but to just have an initial entry, and from that basis to continue working. We also have a standard template for text that is based on Wikipedia, but I hadn't included it yet for the community currency articles. You can find the template [[Template:Wikipedia|here]] and use it by adding <nowiki>{{Template:Wikipedia}}</nowiki> to the article. Thanks! --[[User:Robino|robino]] 15:04, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Credit Crunch

I'm not sure if this is the right site to bring up this discussion but I feel quite strongly that although the media is full of it the analyses presented on the credit/debt crisis are either shallow and incomplete or very technical and imprenetable for most including me. I found an interesting article which makes the point that "Witch hunters in Africa lynch “thieves” who rob men of their masculinity. Many people’s grasp of economics is at the same level. " It still doesn't for me approach the kind of accessability and clarity I'm looking for. Would this site be the place to try and write an article/section that would address this? Would micro credits only generate micro crises? 17:24, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

If you feel like writing about it, go ahead :) You can write about anything, as long as it's somewhat related to cash - we can start creating guidelines whenever we feel not happy with some content appearing here (or just move it somewhere else). guaka 17:18, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Seed Articles

On many basic terms there are no articles here yet, which is ofcourse normal for a young wiki. What is also common as far as I can tell is that there is a bigger barrier for people to start an article from scratch than to add to or edit an existing one. So my suggestion would be the following: that for a number of basic concepts/terms linked to money cashwiki imports the first couple of paragraphs from wikipedia articles on these topics and then leave them there to grow into unique entities over time. I'd even volunteer to do it myself, seems like a fun thing to do. Would micro credits only generate micro crises? 21:33, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

We have to attribute Wikipedia whenever stuff is copied from Wikipedia. And I like your suggestion to just copy the introduction. guaka 17:18, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
