About the Blog: 'I’m a twentysomething engineer trying to enjoy life and use my budget.

I graduated from a relatively no-name state university in May 2006, then worked for a great company in Iowa for a year in a half. After getting some good experience on my resume, reducing my student loans from 27k to 20k, saving 20k in retirement and 10k in an efund….. I picked up and moved to southern California to work for a large engineering company. And here I am!! I love it so far, though getting settled in is stressful and the learning curve on the job is steep!
