Madison Hours is a complementary currency in Madison-city. It is a time-based currency, similar to the New York based Ithaca Hours. The Dane County Timebank operates in the same area.
Madison Hours is organized as a cooperative. Members pay an annual fee and receive the ability to list offers and requests of goods and services that they want or have. They receive 3 Madison Hours upon joining the coop and 1 Hour at each annual renewal.
Each years the members also elect a new Board of Directors for the coop.
