About the Blog and Author: Girls Just Wanna Have Funds is dedicated to the woman that wants to take charge of her personal finances. We value budgeting, investing, frugality and remain mindful of our spending habits. The focus is mainly on women and young couples as it relates to personal finance. This is a topic is often not discussed with women and young girls growing up and this extends to young couples as well. Many divorces are a result of differences when it comes to personal finance, so the goal of Girls Just Wanna Have Funds is to do it's part in educating the masses through the author's own experiences being a young married 20 something.

Girls Just Wanna Have Funds has also been featured on MSNBC's Today Show, Nightly News, ABC Good Morning America, Fox 5 News WTTG, The Wall Street Journal and has a companion site on Meetup.com of the same name. The meetup boasts over 250 members (282 at last count) which meet monthly with a Certified Financial Planner who reviews each member's financial situation and makes the appropriate recommendations. Members also meet monthly for informal happy hours to get to know each other and welcome new members.

Ginger lives in the DC metro area along with her husband and three cats. She is also in the home stretch of her graduate program, a dual Masters in Forensic Psychology and Counseling Psychology so don't be surprised if some of the articles are about examining the psychology of money and personal finance. Ginger also maintains a life coaching practice, My Quarter Life Coach, which specializes in the quarter life experience as it relates to relationships, career and identity issues of 20 somethings.
